Monday, December 5th, 2005Glory Seeking Pirates
More often than not, some portion of the Famous Pirates end their day in a drunken stupor in some dilapidated pub in some remote corner of the universe. With ever-increasing boasts of valor they try to outdo each other in what they would accomplish in order to bring fame and fortune to the pirates. Normally, none of them remember exactly what was boasted the night before, so each is able to do their thing without losing face among his fellow pirates.
However, a recent drinking episode around the Olphize area ended up poorly for a bartender in the area when he tried to sell the Famous Pirates diluted Rashkir ale. The bartender hasn’t been seen since that night – but the boasts that were threatened by Doombringer during the episode were not forgotten by his companions that evening. Upon wakening the Famous Pirates expected Doombringer to back down from his threats to strike deep into the Empire and through the military outposts of Conglomo. His goal? To strike fear and terror into the hearts of men, while reaping riches, rewards, and fame in the process. As Doombringer began preparing, other pirates scrambled to join him. They were damned if he was going to get all the glory for himself.
As it worked out, four Famous Pirates made the attack on Conglomo’s outposts Doombringer, Irrervian, Dragaurang, and Avraiml. They were quickly able to destroy one of Conglomo’s outposts and slipped into Conglomo territory, attacking and raiding with impunity.
Clonglomo, a bit unprepared for the encounter, scrambled to do what they could to oust the Pirates. Calls went out to allies to help but not before the pirates had killed several pilots and raided several buildings. How much damage the pirates are able to inflict before they are eventually ousted from Conglomo territory remains to be seen.

The South Pardus Rim is littered with neutral planets and Empire Starbases. Hardly the place for Federation pilots wanting to gain rank while performing business in the South Pardus Rim. Until now. A bright spot in the run of Empire starbases, the Legion Enclave caters to Federation pilots looking to gain a bit of rank while in the area. This is a limited time offer – so take the opportunity while you can.
Slaves of Quince
Every now and then pilots get a crazy idea to try something new. Much to the dismay of the slaves of Quince, a pair of Sadist Faction pilots began their quest to support the slave lords and increase the population there as much as possible (Lancel and Kavalion). Collecting gems from every possible starbase in sight, the pair dumped tons upon tons of gems and water into the Quince economy and watched the population there skyrocket well into the top twenty planets among the universe. The pair went as far as to start purchasing gems from the black market at one point. It will be interesting to watch exactly what they plan to do as gems and water become increasingly harder to find.
