Getting Rid of Pirates!

Pirates

There are many ways to get rid of pirates. You can kill pirates, you can bounty pirates, you can pick up your buildings and move to safer pastures, or you can do like the Empire did earlier this week and simply rip up the paperwork and pretend like they never existed. That’s right, the alliance “Pirates” ceased to exist this week after a clerk ‘accidentally’ hit the delete button on the “Pirates” alliance application. Come to find out, this particular clerk had recently been victimized by one of the pirates and wanted to get revenge.

So… organized pirates around the universe woke up to find that they were no longer part of an alliance, but rather independents. Pirates petitioned to get the alliance reincorporated to no avail – the Empire amusingly stating that what’s done is done. While these independent pirates scrambled to reorganize in some form or fashion, the clerk enjoyed a few minutes of gratification. That gratification is sure to be short-lived as soon as his identity is leaked. Rumor has it that it the clerk was paid off by someone on the inside of the alliance itself…

Bringing Doom to Andexa

AndexaIn the southern portion of Fed space lies the sector of Andexa. Under the guidance of FTS, Andexa has been a safe and stable system for traders to build and trade in. And then ‘they’ came – Doombringer and Klaus Stoertebeker. The pair claimed Andexa as theirs and began raiding/destroying buildings that didn’t pay ‘dues’. The pirates had just begun receiving dues when the fuel collector…err, tax station was destroyed by bounty hunters Eldrioth and Ducas.

FTS fighters entered the fray hunting down the pair across Fed space. Klaus was hunted down to Sol and sent on his way whereas Doombringer was ambushed by a six-fighter ambush but managed to slip away. Having nowhere to go, Doom cloaked in an energy field but was eventually spotted by Freewind. Not wasting the opportunity, Freewind took the pirate out.

So for the time being, Andexa is safe again. But for how long? The ‘governors’ have vowed to return to their duties soon…

Flowering Adaa

AdaaEmpire scientists can’t seem to stop fiddling with the laws of nature. First they experimented with E-matter, increasing regeneration rate. Then they fiddled some more, and created the exo-crabs that take OVER the E-matter. Now, they’re taking the same concepts, and applying it to energy fields, neb fields, hydrogen fuel, asteroid fields, and all other regenerating resources. It seems they won’t stop until they’ve created instant energy or created a wormhole that allows the space weasels through. Anyway, after a successful trial run in laboratory tests, Empire scientists found the biggest ‘empty’ sector they could find – Adaa. With no planet in the sector, it was perfect for their trial run. Additionally, it was right next to Ska, and the scientists didn’t want a long journey… nevermind the fact that if something went wrong it could endanger the homeworld…

As it turned out, the experiment was a success as far as we know. Regeneration rates had increased for all resources at a huge rate. Unfortunately, there still seems to be some work that needs to be done as the effects were only temporary. I just hope more exo-crabs don’t start appearing all over the universe now…

Taking the Death Brigade Private

Pharmacentricity vs The Death BrigadeIt appears that Pharmacentricity appeared to have a beef with The Death Brigade and declared a private conflict with them. The results? That each alliance would be allowed to tag the other alliance without rep repercussions. After a few attempts form bystanders to get to the bottom of the issue, TDB and Pharmacentricity came to an agreement – the Private Conflict would be lifted if TDB launch virtually suicide himself twice against an MO. Apparently the beef wasn’t necessarily with TDB, but rather its member Launch.

Well, Launch seems to have a thing about going against entire alliances. It seems he will get his chance once again.

PUBLIC SERVICE ANNOUNCEMENT

Citiznes of Zirr: How many is it going to take? How many lives is it worth before you are ready to accept the fact that life will not get better on its own? The pain will not stop unless you make it stop.
