The Tribune is Born

Like diamonds and fine wine, the Tiacken Tribune has taken years of work to put together. Reporters from across the planet have traveled SECTORS away to distant planets and starbases to collect the most up to year information regarding recent happenings in Tiacken and the surrounding sectors. However, like all ventures, this issue has come at a cost. We must bow our heads and give silence to those who have fallen along the way. People like Jack Farmer, the pilot who fell asleep at the helm and collided with the Crhistmas star and Dopey McWright, the poor Sap who didn’t realize you needed permission to pass into Faphida space.

But alas, we made it. And we’ll be bringing news to you regarding events around the area! As always, good luck and happy hunting.

Tiacken II: Home

Tiacken II - Class R PlanetFor those of you not in the know, Tiacken II (T2) is a planet in the Tiacken sector, a major throughway in the Neutral Zone (NZ). A planet of rock and metal, only the extremely sturday or extremely stupid have any shot of making it in the harsh conditions of T2. However when T2 makes it, the ore and metal provided by T2 will be a valuable asset to the surrounding sectors and this is why a small group of pioneers have made T2 home. T2, like every other class R planet, is dependent on outside forces for all of its basic needs: food, water, and energy. This demand presents all kinds of opportunities for these pioneers. The builidng count at the present time includes five space farms, a brewery, a med lab, a smelter, and two nebula plants. There are also a few inactive buildings which including an electronics factory, a robots factory, and an energy well. The T2 planet officials have been debating what to do with these inactive structures (see related story below). Although not the prettiest place, T2 has become a thriving environment for the entrepreneur.

Does life hand you everything on a silver platter? Do credits seem to grow on trees. Can you sneeze money out your nose? If so, then you are not the person we are looking for. The planet of T2 is looking for Entrepreneurial spirits to come settle in what is considered the wild, wild west. Come on, take a chance, come join your kindred spirits of T2!! You’ll be glad you did.

Pardus: Did you know…

Space Farm…that when you upgrade a building, you can store building materials in your building? By sending your materials to commodities (the transfer button on the right hand side of the screen), you can store metal, ore, or energy to bring your building levels to 6, 7, 8 or more!! You don’t need that high end ship (althought it helps). You just need to increase the capapcity of your building.

T2 Junk?

The owner hasn’t been seen for quite awhile. Rumor has it he just disappeared and left his buildings. What do you do with abandoned buildings that clutter the atmosphere of your favorite planet? Debates have ben raging over T2 about this very phenomena. One faction asks to allow the buildings to stay. Traders can still use the buildings as their own to build whatever they’d like under the abandoned owners rules. Other factions ask that the buildings be dismanteld and sold. The extreme faction asks that the buildings be destroyed in one big fireworks display. What will happen to these abandoned buildings? Only time will tell.
